Māehe Manawa Ora Movin'March 2026
Find all the things you need to make Movin’March work at your kura.
Kia ora and welcome to the new home for Movin’March!
In here you’ll find everything you need to run Movin’March at your school. And also lots of resources you can use all year round. If you're planning an active celebration in any other month, let us know – as we may have a few goodies leftover.
We made some changes in 2026 – some controversial even – and we're going through your feedback so we can make 2027 even better (is that a faint echo calling "bring back WoW passports!" I hear?).
We'll keep working on improving our tools, so you can get back to encouraging your tamariki to walk and wheel! Your feedback and ideas are always welcome, so don't be shy to share. :-)
Check out all the resources available below, or visit our friends at Enviroschoolsopen_in_new and Pedal Readyopen_in_new for other awesome activities to keep your ākonga engaged in their environment and community.
Celebrating 15+ years of Movin'March!
In 2015 Greater Wellington made a video celebrating Māehe Manawa Ora Movin'March, an annual programme which promotes walking, scooting, and biking to school.
Movin’March continues to encourage tamariki to choose active ways of getting to school. This story looks at what that impact can look like over time.
