We've selected some of the best online climate resources for you. These come from trusted providers and are relevant to tamariki and rangatahi in the Wellington region.
In our climate kete you will find resources that encourage awareness around our individual carbon footprint. While this is a good place to start, it should sit within a kaupapa of cross-curricula learning. Climate change can be taught through a variety of topics such as science, social science, literacy, numeracy, and te ao Māori. Teaching across learning areas encourages an understanding of the science behind climate change and supports critical thinking. It also helps ākonga build a wider view of the integrated systems contributing to climate change and to think how communities can respond together.
