Wallcharts and Stickers
Tools that motivate
Wallcharts and Stickers
There are no regional competitions in 2027. Instead create your own challenges using the wallcharts, stickers, passports and spot prizes as tools. Together these motivate action and help students track progress. Don't forget to copy your data totals into Te Haerenga so you can create cool graphs that compare data!
Wallcharts and stickers will be provided in every walk or wheel prize pack. When you register we'll ask if you want to receive optional passports. You can order more on our passports page from February onwards if you need them.
Make up your own privilege-prizes for winning classes! See our Tips and Tricks page for more ideas or check out our inspiring stories pages.
Classes that enter 3 days of data in February and 3 days of data in March in Te Haerenga will get a cool teacher gift!
How to use wallcharts and stickers
- Put your wallchart up in February so students can start recording how they usually travel
- Set individual and class goals for March
- Students challenge friends to see how many walk or wheel trips they can make in March
- Create a classroom challenge and use spot prizes or passports to motivate
- If you run out of stickers, improvise with words and pictures!
- Total your trips at the bottom of the wallchart and enter data into Te Haerenga.
- Create graphs that show comparative data and see our statistics classroom resource to link to the current curriculum.
Our short videos show you everything you need to know to run Movin'March and use Te Haerenga data entry tool.
