Te Hono Atu Connecting in
Everything is connected! This theme makes school travel highly relatable for students. It connects to their everyday experiences and helps them understand the many benefits of active travel.
Te Hono Atu (Connecting In) picks out the very best activities on offer from the in-depth Active Travel Actionopen_in_new resource which was developed between Greater Wellington and Te Upoko o te Ika a Maui (Enviroschools).
Resources explore how transport choices impact on us locally and globally and how we can all make a difference. Ākonga explore how travel makes them feel and how it helps them understand the world around them.
There are six resources with supporting activities. These can be used as one-off activities or with others in the series.
